tonight, i can say i am treuly proud to be from montreal.
the montreal canadians have beat the odds won the semi finals 5-2 againts pittsburgh, and will move onto the conferance finals. i'm sure my boyfriend sidney crosby is not too pleased about this .. but i am!
montreal, was just about the last team anyone would have picked to beat the top-seeded capitals, much less the reigning nhl champion penguins. though a leaf fan myself, i do have quite the soft spot for the habs. they are the underdogs, were the 8th & last pick, and were not even included in the stanley cup commercials?!
this is truley a heart warming story and i hope they go all the way! though it was an away game, the hab's home arena was packed with fans watching the game on the big screen. i can only imagine how wild downtown montreal is right now and i know all my family there is celebrating like absolute crazy! my fingers are crossed for a canadian cup this year to go along with our olympic gold :)
